His mission is to take back the throne of England and return home. He then notices a chess table, and begins playing it despite not knowing what chess is. He wins against a British queen. The queen then takes him as her prisoner and makes him learn how to speak English, as she believes he can become her lover or husband after winning the game of chess. As the prince learns the English language, he also learns about how England runs, from parliament to cricket fields. Through this process he meets different people who teach him various things along with human emotions such as love and hate that he has never experienced before. He finally gets the throne and fights to protect it from the queen and her army. The movie is about a prince named Raja (Dhanush) and who has been transported to London (England) by a British queen (Zahra Jamshed). The prince lost a game of chess against the British queen and got punished to be transported to London.The film released in over 240 theatres in India In the United States, it was released in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Miami, later on it released in New Jersey, Chicago and seven more states. In the UK this film was released on 9 August 2009. It was then shown at Odeon Cinema in Birmingham on 11 August 2009. The film released in Canada on 25 August 2009. It was then shown at of Cinémas Guzzo in Montreal on the 27 of August 2009. It was then screened at Arsenal Playhouse of Entertainment Cinemas of Calgary on the 28th August 2009.
